A polar thermoplastic resin in which chlorine atoms are introduced into the molecular chain of polypropylene. 20%-40% chlorine is low chlorination, 63%-67% chlorine is high chlorination. All are white powder or particle, but colorless after film formation. Melting point < 150ºC (chlorine content 30% melting point is the lowest), decompose at 180-190ºC. Insoluble in ethanol and paraffinic hydrocarbons, soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, esters, ketones. Resistance to oil, heat and light; It can resist the corrosion of strong oxidizing acid and alkali. CPP film can be immersed in 10% caustic soda solution or 10% nitric acid for 144 hours without swelling. Good compatibility with most resins such as gumaron resin, petroleum resin, phenolic resin, alkyd resin, coal tar resin, turpentine, etc. It can be used as adhesive for bonding plastic and metal, coating color carrier, paper coating, water proofing agent, flame retardant, printing ink additive, etc. Polypropylene can be chlorinated by solution method, suspension method or solid phase method.
